I am not familiar with Win2000 Pro, but... can you right click on the "|" file and select "Properties"? That should give you more information about that file.

If not, make a note of the creation or modified date. Then use "Find" and search for all files (*.*) on your "C:" drive that were created or modified on that date by clicking on the "Date" tab on the Find dialog box. If you find some applications that were created or modified at about the same time, try renaming the file (I suggest adding a ".xxx" to the file name) and then try running the applications that were created or modified during that time period. If the applications appear to be functioning properly with the renamed file, you can probably either delete the file or move it to a floppy (as a safety precaution).
