WASHINGTON, Jun 21, 2002 /PRNewswire from COMTEX/ -- Finkelstein, Thompson & Loughran has filed a securities fraud class action lawsuit against Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. and the head of its Internet group, Henry Blodget, on behalf of purchasers of Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV chart, msgs) securities between October 16, 2000 and August 13, 2001, inclusive (the "Class Period").

Recently, the New York Attorney General, Eliot L. Spitzer lodged a similar probe against Merrill Lynch concerning "new economy" companies.
