There are rules. Life and insurance rates for the large companies (who really set the requirements) allow for the employee and one other adult (plus dependant children). Marriage or sex are not in the requirements. As for taxes, a married gay couple is more likely to pay higher taxes due to the "marriage penalty" of higher incomes. There's always somebody trying to scam the rest of us In this case your being scammed by a hot button distraction so you won't see how badly led the country is at the moment. TP
