Of course my father was an atheist, for heaven's sake, I've described my family! So was his father, though his mother was a Lutheran, the only non-atheist in my family I can recall meeting, though there may have been some closet believers, I suppose. When Daddy's mother visited, she got mad if my sister and I played Go Fish on Sunday. Cards were sinful, iho. She wanted my sister and me to be baptized, and Daddy said no, but Mama said why not make her happy, since it meant something to her and nothing to them, so here you have before you an officially baptized Lutheran! Does this status come with privileges?
