Walter's selling was pretty stupid, as he sold out of spite. If anything, he made whatever difficulties the combined companies face that much more tedious.
By selling, he doesn't look "smart" because he's just as responsible for the falloff by releasing shares to the outstanding pool that he had previously held. That's a natural damper on any upward possibilities.

Call him a cohort, not necessarily a mastermind.

Wally looks like the same A**hole he was before.

The market tanking took all the techs down...so it was nothing specific to HPQ.

Lets re-visit this topic about a year from now.
