a trillion dollars is a lot of money, some perspective

I always thought the pile to the moon was good
if you piled up dollar bills, one on top of the other, then a million would extend to the WorldTrxxx, Empire State Bldg
a billion would extend to the end of the stratosphere
a trillion would extend to the moon
(provided the sun's gravity wouldnt bend the pile unduly)

here is another perspective:
If you had gone into business the day Jesus was born, and your business lost a million dollars a day, seven days a week, you would not have lost one trillion dollars until October 2737.
(Gee, that is over 600 years from now)
