Hi Scott,

I agree that drastic reform is needed. But Bush is congenitally incapable of doing the right thing. He's just another Hoover, who will fiddle while Rome burns and try to make minor course corrections on the way. He's pathetic. Completely incapable of adult decisions on how to set the future course of this great nation on a sustainable basis. He greatly prefers to line the pockets of his family and friends and say to hell with the nation's best interests.

Andrew Fastow has a petition in with Judge Harmon in Houston to try to suppress discovery for the civil suits against Fastow that are scheduled for December, 2003. His attornies are claiming that evidence from depositions, or Fifth Amendment pleadings would be prejudicial in the event of criminal prosecution. These guys got some damn big cojones, that's all I can say. Fastow ought to just face the music and the 10-30 years behind bars that he so richly deserves.
