We seek to make a reasonable table of punishments to show the relative weight of the offenses, and in consideration of other factors that may bear on sentencing. The main way to calculate what is just is the relation of any single item to the system, where we are able to assign the outer terms fairly easily. As I pointed out, it is a mare's nest to try to calculate on any other basis, and the net result is likely to be making the sentences too severe, to ensure public safety. Your "subjectivities" are worse the more complicated the factors in determining the sentence, or the more guess work is involved in what will "work". Punishment is pretty simple, straightforward, and comprehensible......
