Constantine, Re: "TDP? Typical ??? power? I think you need to reread the Elmer post. They don't talk about idle, TDP, average or anything. They flat out say 2 watts ( whatever that means ) and they leave it up to the reader to decide what it means ( 2 watts sounds very impressive when the context is unknown )."

I don't disagree with that. You need to go back and reread my response. You asked, "Doing what," and I answered you. The, "It consumes less than 2 Watts of power," reference from the article is vague and misleading, but it's not like that specification is going to the customers who are designing systems. Neither will it be plastered on the sales tags at Best Buy or the Dell webpage as a competitive comparison. The only people that will see the misleading figure, investors, are usually not technical enough to give a hoot about what it means, and those investors who do invest based on technical information ought to know that the number looks awry in the first place. Therefore, you are escalating the issue far more than is deserved. Sorry, but that's pure FUD, IMO.

Re: "Also I am not a hyprocrite since I was merely replying to your post that was already becoming personal."

Before that, you said:

"would you have said the same if the article said the Athlon uses 2watts?" and,
"I was merely pointing out the fact that you're defending the 2 Watt claim purely because it looks good for Intel."

I take offense at these, since I was only responding to a question of yours. I never brought up AMD. You did. You are the hypocrite, and a hopeless cheerleader, and you need to get over it. My AMD investment sucks just as much as yours, but I don't feel the need to spread FUD about Intel announcements to compensate. So what if AMD is behind right now? Things will be better when they get Hammer out the door, and if there is an end of year recovery, and I've been saying that for a while now.
