BRCM's operating margin was 44% last qtr, INTC 51%, TXN 33%, LSI 26%. BRCM's business isn't generic so they have been able to keep their margin in the 40-50% range, which is my rough category of a semi co with a good margin business. Along with a good margin comes a need for pretty heavy R&D spending.
