heading down the 401 from Chatham to Windsor last Friday,I thought this smog is really bad .The yellow haze was in my eyes and my lungs felt the exhaust fumes for the next 12 hours after getting back up north ,home.I wondered how people or even animals could live in it .
Then on Mon I went to Hamilton from the top of the niagara escarpment ,(the hamilton mountain ) the buildings and the city itself was barrely visible through the smog .My instincts told me don~t go down there as nothing can live in that .My business didnt require me to go down there ,thankfull for that
My point is how long can we keep doing this to our quality air ,my opinion is we are in trouble and getting worse every day ,something is going to happen
I was told that Caterpillar is paying a fine for every engine they build as it dont meet the polution standards set up ,,what kind of standards are these with no teeth.
The greedy companies are still pouring out the gas guzzling ,air polutting machines all in the name of greed ,and we keep buying them.
Three years ago I drove past Monterey Mexico were the trees and the fields were white from the polution dust ,now it is up here in Can.,We cant keep moving north to escape it as sooner or later we will be looking for a breath of air on the north pole
