Jeff, if you applied crash value's 8% annual rate of return to the Dow in 1929, you'd have a current value of 194,000 from the bubble top in 1929 and 16,000 from the bottom at 41 in 1932.

You have to take things like that into consideration rather than the raw numbers and percentage drops themselves.
