Korea tired badly at the end of the first half. Unless they can recharge at the half, it looks like Germany's game to lose.

Ed Huang.......Well officiated game...

1.Ballack was going for ball and should not have received a yellow card on the foul.
Evident on replay.
(He will be missed in the final......now all 3 (2 injured) midfield playmakers are out.
Too bad for the fans.....especially the German ones.

2. Yellow on Neuville ... no way ... should be no call... when a player goes down sideways
he's not diving. Dives are usually belly dives. Inconsequential, though.

3. At the end of the game the Korean player was not offsides. It made no difference
since Kahn got to the ball first, anyway.

Otherwise it was well officiated and played relatively clean from both Han and Dok sides.

Urs Meier had also recently officiated the Real Madrid - Bayer Leverkusen Champion Cup Final.

Morning Ed,

I see Loki already responded to you and basically agree with him, particularly on Ballack's YC... a foul yes, a yellow card, no, the ref simply missed the intent, to the ball yes, and hard, but not to the man.

One more comment not on the referee but on Kahn... a sign of a great keeper, was on a cross from Korea and throwing himself towards the opposite side of the goal (where the ball was heading), seeing a Korean striker nearby and him not having full control of the situation, he handles the ball, (getting enough of it with the palm of his hand, and throwing it towards the base line (making the ball go out of play).

His concentration was great and knowing exactly what position he had relative to his own goal, defusing a potentially dangerous play...

Great keeper Kahn is.
