(NYSE: CVX) for the purchase of Emerson control valves for ChevronTexaco facilities worldwide. Control valves are used to regulate the flow of liquids and gases in manufacturing operations. Emerson estimates the agreement is worth more than $20 million a year.

The agreement applies to all ChevronTexaco operating units and other entities in which ChevronTexaco has at least a 50 percent ownership.

"For the past several years, we've been tightly integrating our divisions so we can better serve our customers. Through this agreement, with Fisher Controls taking a leading role, ChevronTexaco will be able to look to us to efficiently meet all of their control valve needs," said Berra.
