I like the idea of a matriarchal society. The few that have been studied by anthropologists are quite interesting.

More pertinent would be an analysis of what those women were getting their BAs in. In my time, I have met a number of women with bachelor's degrees in home economics; interior design; dental hygiene; nursing; social work; teaching; and other traditional female occupations. I have met comparatively few with degrees in the hard sciences, engineering, or even business. It may be that the disparity in degree attainment is fairly meaningless.......
