I would prefer that kids come out of high school with the level of education that kids used to get in high school. Now you need a junior college to provide that level of education.

I think it would be great if public education extended through college. Of course a lot of people don't want to pay for that, but I've no idea WHY they don't- since dollars spent making people more productive are usually paid back into the system many fold, and there are usually a myriad of other benefits as well. I don't think the public should have to send a kid to Hahvahd, but why not send them to state schools? I'm all for it.
