Maybe so. I knew a couple where the wife had a business degree, I believe in accounting, and the husband taught at one of those truck driving schools, you know, that provides certification. He didn't have a "degree", but he was a certified teacher of a particular profession. How many men are taking the certification route, rather than getting a BA, and finding wives among the hygienists and home ec teachers and interior decorators? And is college really broadening, if one goes to a school with lax standards in core courses, and a high degree of "professionalizaton" early on? I mean, learning to discriminate fabrics might take more than a semester......
