They are welcome to all the emotional bonds they want. There's clearly little the rest of society can do about that anyway. Particularly now.

The rest of it, though, is up to society. And as of now, society says it's not a marriage.

Speaking of marriage:
And what if some woman wants to marry the fish in her aquarium? Why not?

Surely you're not guilty of anti-mammal prejudice?
Why wouldn't that qualify?

Or a woman and a dog? Or two dogs?
