According to the article Bush is claiming he said those words DURING his campaign, which is a lie. He's trying to revise the history in which he said he'd keep a balanced budget.

Why? "The Case of the Missing Trifecta" refers to a lie about what Bush said OR DIDN'T SAY *during the campaign*.... A false statement he started making LAST August when the bad budget numbers began coming in.

If he will lie (*14 times*, by the latest count) about what he said not even 2 years ago, what won't he lie about?
