John, Re: "Is it likely they will get a design win announcement before the release of Opter-non?" If Opteron gets any top tier support at all, it will most certainly have to happen before the launch. AMD has little to no infrastructure for Opteron, and anything they do have will be immature at launch. An OEM's best bet is to handle most of that themselves, and do their own internal validation. Putting that much work into a project would almost certainly impel them to announce it publicly. AMD also has a lot to gain, from other perspective customers, and from the investment world, to show that they have top tier support, so I'm sure they would be quite eager to put out a joint announcement. wbmw
