Earlie, you forgot to mention one thing. Does anybody really want to have to LISTEN to Softie bellowing TIMBERRRRRRRR fifty times a day? Gives me a headache just thinking about it. Plus, with text, I can pre-screen what I read. Can't do that with voice.

Earlie - LD charges are out as will be most voice coms. Most will be audio visual data. VoIP means effectively free global communications except for the monthly charge for data. Not everyone relizes that all of us have our own individual IP addresses,the internet equivalent of a phone number. This has been of not much interest up to now but as of Jul 15 it takes on huge significance. Best, L

Earlie you fail to mention one critical point. SIZE. People carry phones cause they are SMALL. Why is PALM failing. 1) cost 2) Size now we are hyping remote video crap, text messaging and other nonsense that adds SIZE to the device. The smaller the better. Will video at home eventually win out. Probably but WHEN? Point nunber 2, will it be such a commoduity theat there is ZERO profit in it. So I say give Limetx his dream. He will be correct eventually (perhaps, at least for the home as opposed to mobile), but who stands to gain from it all. No sure anyone does will all the competition. M
