JW, Did you see that plunge in the Dollar index late in the afternoon...hitting a low again as people thought it was ready to bounce.

It seems Gold stocks have slowed down a bit (GG is my favorite) even though dollar hitting new lows.

Either the stocks and POG seems to be taking a bit of a pause OR there are lots of speculators that feel Nasdaq is about to hit a near term bottom....and therefore unwilling to buy the golds near any Nasdaq turning point.

Just noticed Nasdaq short interest out after the bell, hardly any increase in shorts as of settlement date June 15th from the previous month. That is surprising...could be signalling the possibility that Naz is stable only due to short covering. If they pile on, there could be big trouble.

WCOM fraud story that is just breaking could actually lead to some sort of capitulation.

Jim, Do you see golds breaking out soon?
I would note short interest in the gold stocks seems to have increased this month..for example GG had an increase of 150% !
