Every politician makes a to-do list during a campaign. Education and taxes were Bush's core issues and he followed through on them. The budget went out the window when the first plane hit. Some people can't figure out why we are not washing a car that has just been in a wreck. Circumstances sometimes demand that you fix things.

The trifecta thing was the big lie? I heard some real whoppers between 1992 and 2000.

BTW everyone is missing the really big lie Bush told. During the campaign Bush ordered huevos to get the Hispanic/American chicken farmers' vote. Both of them. But the White House can't come up with a picture of Bush eating any cackle berries.
