<<Kind of like raising protectionist tariffs on steel to win votes in Penn., and West Va... even though it's bad for the country and every industry (read: autos and appliances) that consume steel.>>

Years ago, as our steel mills were aging and not as efficient, countries like Japan were building newer mills and our steel mills went to pot. The older mills couldn't compete. The tariffs will give them a chance to upgrade and become competitive again. Jobs for Americans.

In the last few years our economy has moved away from making things to a service economy. US industry needs a boost. Do you have a problem with US workers getting hired back?

Hardly. More like democrats selling nuclear and missile technology to the communists, for campaign donations.

But, you are exhibiting about as much expertise in the realm of free trade as you do anything else - nada.

Zilch.

You haven't even achieve the rank of moron.

If nations practice unfair trade against us, we do not have a right to remedy? You are screwy.
