Paul (or anybody else) -- do you have any opinion on the charts of the radio guys (Clear Channel; Cox; Entercom; Cumulus; Radio One; Emmis; Westwood One; Lamar (which is outdoor advertising); tickers are CCU, CXR, ETM, CMLS, ROIA, EMMS, WON, LAMR).

These are seriously economically sensitive businesses, obviously. IF they are breaking down (after huge runs off the bottom, back in late 2000) they're probably telling us something.

For those in straddling the inflation/deflation debate, i would also mention that radio and outdoor are big INFLATION proxies (they rely on price increases for revenue growth and are highly indebted and as such rely on a paying back their debts with de-based currency). IF they are breaking down, it seems to me that's another chit in the deflationist camp (of which i am the leader <g>)

Cheers
