I was looking for your opinion as to which upgap type(s) provide 'support at the top of the window'. Would you please try answering that again?

The fishing story? Nice metaphor .. but IMHO books by experienced authors are more important than personal TA experience .. especially when one doesn't have any .. as with those just learning TA.

Hi Mary_A...
Loved the answer, especially the bit about fishing,
(I live in Colorado, and no, all of CO. is not burning!).
and I do enjoy hitting the high country lakes
to catch the "wiley trout".
Re: gaps, today on the 60 minute chart there was one
huge gap, from the previous close. This gap was "filled"
such that the NAZ ended positive. If (and when) the
gap (around 1503) gets filled I will start to be one happy
camper (pun intended). BTW, I DON"T LIKE THE HANGING
MAN IN THE LAST 60 MIN PERIOD! Very bad indicator.
Take Care!
