Should the Dow get to 4,000, however, I will long since have closed all short positions and will be averaging down, buying closed end mutual funds, if they are selling at the deep discounts that usually may be found at the end of a really deep bear market.

But this is just pie in the sky talking. Or should I say, crud in the mud.
