I know they are. Unfortunately, the time to do something has come and gone. The laws on the books were sufficient enough (if enforced) to have stopped this before it turned into the situation we have now. But our leaders at the time were taking a "see no evil" approach. That allowed companies more latitude and cost Americans trillions. Then we see MER settle for 100 mil and think everything is ok? If you assume that there were 50 million people in the US exposed to the market then MER is saying that for their role in this they owe each investor a happy meal! They were let off the hook as we hold the (our) bag <g>
