Daschle probably doesn't know yet that the SEC discovered the wcom problem. That sounds like they were doing their job to me. Daschle sounds flakier every day.

Thing is, I've read that the SEC has lots of trouble keeping staffers due to salary issues, and had it's budget cut by congress, even though SEC fees on sell trades rake in substantial dollars. This is at a time where it looks as if the SEC workload is literally exploding <ggg>. As for Pitt, doesn't impress me so far, and he was a lawyer for just about all the big accounting firms before taking the SEC job.

Regards,
John

PS - Hey, will they start hiring former Anderson staffers to help them over the hump??? <ggg>

Where was Daschole when the stock bubble/hype/fraud was at its peak?

Maybe Daschole should start trying to do his own job, which, by the way, isn't just to obstruct the opposition party for political gain. He's a party hack, putting party first and his country a clear second.
