That sounds really nice... Are these insured deposits? Current rates on CDs should not be greater than similar-term zeroes, which are given by T-bills, treasury bonds, and Eurodollar futures. I'm seeing 0.79% on short-term deposits. Anyway, gold is low risk, and has produced return above 10%, so it seems better to keep $$$ in gold rather than CDs
