You may like the idea of God or Not. But if you think removing "God" from America is going to make the country stronger or better, then I think you're smoking the same stuff that two of these judges were.

I learned the Pledge of Allegiance and said it in the classroom before the superfluous words were added. If you think adding "under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance made anything any better, you've been smoking, too.

It's wrong to expect anyone, particularly kids, to make pledges incompatible with their religious beliefs. We're talking about the Pledge of Allegiance here--a statement affirming allegiance to a country that values religious freedom just as most its citizens value their deity. If you want to affirm allegiance to a deity, try the Apostle's Creed or some such and leave the Pledge out of it.
