Have not used the Tick but your theory sounds interesting.

As far as placing the stop one tic beyond the signal bar, I like that. Used that a lot in the past when scalping the NQs. But then how are you going to trail it, or are you going to just keep moving it down behind the last bar or are you goint to go for a projected price?
