OT - I heard an interesting comment by one of the guest commentators on CNBC (yes they do have people who say worthwhile things - sometimes).

His thoughts on waiting for the "big capitulation" is that what has been going on for these many months is more of an investor-by-investor capitulation. Individual investors just getting tired, scared, whatever and leaving the market.

So we may not see ( or this morning was all we will see) of a "capitulation." The question as the commentator put it was when are these people going to come back in?

i think the Fed is buying stocks to prop up the market at this point. it is truly pathetic and can only mean a much worse ending for the bubble. trash certainly rallied today.

I placed several buy orders on a day-only basis at specific prices. Got only one of my orders. I placed them too late in the day.
