Jeff, I've not read many responses in the last few weeks to my questions on Tommy Bear's potential rally on the monthlies that point to a single clear catalyst. Those that are in support of his scenario are more general about their reasons or see a variety of smaller mini-catalysts coming together to support it (a string of favorable economic data reports or good earnings reports, maybe?). As far as the catalyst being "short lived" I think that's a given, but most people here define that phrase in terms of a few days while Tommy Bear's rally scenario goes on for a few months, so the time period is speaking relatively, of course.
