I appreciate your attitude about the group thing. Group activities are also disadvantageous to introverts. I have always found group activities difficult because I like to reflect a bit before speaking like I can here on a message board. I had to learn to function in groups at work and I fought it all the way. I eventually ended up as a convert becoming skilled at group facilitation, which I did professionally. Groups have their place and individual activities have their place. Much of the art is learning when to use which. People tend to go one way or the other rather than using each when it is most appropriate.
