Why does Bush continue to get high approval ratings?

Is the American public being duped?

You still miss Bubba? <g>

Best Regards, J.T.

It seems to me that, in the past few months, the SEC, Congress, DOJ etc. have been almost overly aggressive in pursuing corporate corruption. The bear market is almost entirely sentiment driven. Dealing with some of these issues with kid gloves might be the right thing to do. The more headlines of SEC investigation and such the more the sentiment gets driven into the ground, prolonging the bear market, dampening what's left of the wealth effect, reducing company profits, reducing corporate spending and further harming the economy. It's a nasty spiral. The world really would be better served if this spiral downward ended sooner rather than later.

IMO,
Dave
