How would you impose the consequences of police misconduct on the police, and discourage police misconduct, if it were up to you?

The right not to incriminate oneself seems extremely theoretical, if it's not one the suspect feels able to avail himself of.

A lot of cops approve of Miranda. This surprised me when I read it. I can't document it, it's just something I read a long time ago, and I don't even know what the percentage of cops who thought it was a good thing was.
