Velo, looking back over some old charts I've noticed we get new lows when the situation is not so oversold (ADX, Stochastics, RSI, etc). However, when we 're pretty oversold, the close above the lower BB usually at least gets us a flag out to a MA or a rise to the middle BB after a re-test of the low.

If the low is not re-tested, I'm inclined to agree that new lower lows will result. The sweet spot for a successful re-test is within 2% of the COMP or NDX low. I haven't looked at the Dow close enough yet to know what that should be, but I'd expect 100-points or so.
