I believe it would take a research feat to trace the origin of that appelation in the multitude of posts on SI.

That said, if I find myself with nothing to do for an hour or two, I might jump into it.

I'd be inclined to start with the Flame thread from several years back, which is a locale Ms. Foxy has been known to frequent.

Here's a post from yourself that makes use of the term in 1999.

Of more interest is the text of the post, which states:

The chart for GBLX is in a perfect buying range. Unfortunately, it looks like the main P&F market indicators are going bearish. This would suggest that you should use caution when entering a long position right now. GBLX recently penetrated resistance at 48, but has pulled back and and looks to be perfect for re-entry. Again, assuming that the market conditions support it.

Resistance at 48. ROTFLMAO! How things have changed.

BTW, I think I owned GBLX back then.
