The flag rises above silliness and is unharmed by it. People who treat it so are the losers. I differ with McCain, but by God he can say anything he wants. He's earned it. And all those with him and before him (like my father-in-law). But...I have already seen two flag ties this AM. Malls and car dealers vie to see who has the biggest flag lit up the most hours so folks can find them, unable to spot the dealer next door whose flag is 3 square inches smaller and not flown on XMAS. I've seen the colors on scrubs in the hospital. Is it ok to literally get blood and guts on it, (except in battle)?
