WCOM has fraud, that is mostly uncovered as a result of their failure to be a viable going concern. If the merger would have been allowed, then they probably would still be a viable going concern, albeit one possibly still committing fraud.

You conjecture is unsupportable, moreso than mine, IMO.

There was no reason to block that merger. Except that the other baby bells didn't want it to go through, and they were the highest bidders, IMO. Is that what kind of economy you want?
