The obvious answer is too difficult, too fraught with warlord lobbyists throughout the Beltway:

A) Recognize that the US does NOT have the answer to their problems. It is arrogant and impossible, but lobbyists wish us to think so. Only profiteering keeps this charade going, at great increase in the cost of lives. Only those countries can solve their internal and external political problems. These are not military, these are political problems. We cannot resolve their problems for them, only they can do that. Any US contribution of arms or dollars to users of arms only escalates attack and counter-attack.

B) Remove ALL "assistance" from Israel, Palestine, India, Pakistan, and petrodollars from Saudi Arabia and other terrorist states, until they show an understanding of what to do with that assistance and successfully reduce violence.

Instead, we in the US are being bilked into being part of their problem, unresolvable in the past 50 years of US participation, and unresolvable ever in the future, as long as an outsider treats either party as a colony.

What is Israel, another state of the union?

I don't think so.

Dear Allen: I thought Pres. Bush made it very clear. If the Palestinians wish to have any further assistance from USA economic or elsewise they are going to have to elect a govt NOT associated with Terrorists. Pres. Bush believes Arrafat and his govt have been compromised by terrorist elements in their society. JDN <<

JDN -

Yes, that was stated clearly by Bush. I'm not disputing the idea that Arafat and his regime are terrorists. I do believe they are.

What I'm saying is that the Palestinian people are not going to do what Bush wants no matter what he says. They hate us and they will do just about anything to spite us. They don't need our money. They have a lot of rich arab countries supporting them.
