Random thoughts.....

I'm really glad that Juan Dixon got drafted in the first round, because he deserved it. Michael Jordan values guys that will run through walls to win ballgames, and I think that's why he drafted Dixon. He's a warrior.

I am undeniably biased about Duke players, but would someone please explain to me how Robert Archibald gets drafted ahead of Carlos Boozer? The big reason why Boozer slipped is because he's not as athletic as other kids, but Boozer is light years ahead of Archibald in athleticism.

I don't think that anyone expected any of the Tar Heels to be drafted. I feel bad for Jason Capel. If he had been part of the program when it was more stable (like practically any point in time other than now) he probably would have been a better player.

Comment of the night had to be from David Stern, in response to questions about the language barrier for Yao Ming: "Well, when Charles [Barkley] and Kenny [Smith] came into the League, they couldn't speak English, either." Classic.
