I know you love your idea that there is always a re-test, but he is right about april 4, 2001...at least on the NDX. Low on 4-4-01 = 1348, low 4-6-01 = 1426. That's as close as it came. 5.5%

There is nothing that always happens. Same thing goes for any and all measures of "capitulation" before a tradable, intermediate term bottom is possible. While the odds may favor certain circumstances, they are never necessary. We should always remain open to the possibility that we won't see what we expect, imo.

That is what was missing from HAL this Spring. In the past, Larry had required a retest that did not break the upchannel before HAL bought. HAL seemed to abandon this rule this Spring in his desire to not miss a rally. Waiting for the test is a great way to avoid being stranded on an island reversal, something we have ahd many to chances to do the last few weeks. That this is not another island in the relentless stream is not proven. I believe that it is just a gut feeling that many of us have. We may be on to something or we ma get trapped as so many have before us.
