Carp...best wishes. Many times lately I've been tempted to hit either a buy or sell button, and then I remind myself that the next unpleasant surprise is just around the corner, and it will happen when I'm away from the computer and/or when I happen to be holding the stock. These nasty corporate surprises seem to be coming with great regularity these days.

And as you hinted if not directly said, the market isn't likely to be returning any big sustainable gains for months, if not years, so why waste the time?

Now that the institutions and portfolio managers are hedging every move they make and trading short-term, just like daytraders, the market seems really out of control to me.

Carep,

Sorry your leaving but probably an excellent decision. It is very difficult to compete against these thieves. I'm happy your going to get addicted to life, family, friends. Have some fun, go fishing and play golf. Hey it works for me. Good luck and God bless.
