I see a tremendous amount of name-calling by conservatives, not to mention physical threats against liberals. you have not been around long enough. Liberals did/do more than their share of name calling, they for the most part just can not take the heat, and I bet if you go back and check, more liberals than conservatives have been tossed off SI for violations of TOU. your blindness is mildy amusing, but fairly typical

Ms Coulter was correct in here assessment. Rev. Jerry Falwell's statements was straight Christian doctrine, However there are times when it is more important to have sensitivity to the emotional pain of others. The timing of the remark was unfortunate. So being a caring loving man Rev Jerry Falwell's realized that his comments could be taken badly and cause hurt, did the right thing and apologized. This comment came out of what is to me what I call a personal conversation between individuals, good men who understood where Rev. Jerry Falwell was coming from. In the emotional stress of that day Rev Falwell made comments with good intentions and realized he had caused pain to those not understanding where he was coming from and he apologized. So if you donot really understand Christian belief's you are not able to understand the nuance of Rev Jerry Falwell's words and not see the simple logic in what Ms Coulter stated as to what a tele-bimbo would have heard vs what Rev Falwell was saying. Ann Coulter: No what he said was that the almighty had stopped protecting America because America was no longer asking for God's help, this is straight Christian doctrine, and even if it had been some sort of peculiar sect of Christianity, as opposed to straight Christian doctrine, I think it's a little bit peculiar that everyone was jumping on the statement of a Christian minister after thousands of Americans were slaughtered by Islamic fundamentalists.
