I doubt you've read the book. But EVEN Lerner, you erstwhile champions says:

An elite male class arose on the excess-over-that-required-for-subsistence
production of women and slaves. Because these few elite men were able to distribute these excess resources, thereby enriching and empowering their
supporters, or, to withhold those resources, thereby impoverishing and disempowering their opponents, they were able to construct philosophical,
scientific, and religious systems which reinforced their dominant position, in the process defining women as less than man, almost as a sub-human
species, and excluding women from all sources of power.

and

Chapter 2: The Educational Disadvantaging of Women - a documentation of the educational disadvantages of women throughout history and the
consequences of this disadvantage on women's lives

I'm not altogether sure even the redoubtable Ms. Lerner has proof for the statement you quote. But of course, if you find any evidence please let me know. What you've posted doesn't really help you. So where's the beef? I want proof. I'm waiting. Call up Lerner, bring her on over, we'll chat.

ok
I think I know what the problem is:
evidence-

ev·i·dence Pronunciation Key (v-dns)
n.

1.A thing or things helpful in forming a conclusion or judgment: The broken window was evidence that a burglary had taken place.
Scientists weigh the evidence for and against a hypothesis.
2.Something indicative; an outward sign: evidence of grief on a mourner's face.
3.Law. The documentary or oral statements and the material objects admissible as testimony in a court of law.

o·pin·ion Pronunciation Key (-pnyn)
n.

1.A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof: “The world is not run by thought, nor by
imagination, but by opinion” (Elizabeth Drew).
2.A judgment based on special knowledge and given by an expert: a medical opinion.
3.A judgment or estimation of the merit of a person or thing: has a low opinion of braggarts.
4.The prevailing view: public opinion.
5.Law. A formal statement by a court or other adjudicative body of the legal reasons and principles for the conclusions of the court.

I want the FORMER not the LATTER. You have given me your learned opinion, and the lofty opinion of MS. Lerner to whom I genuflect most reverently, but what I would like, what you have failed to post, is any evidence or PROOF. People can say anything! As I am sure you are aware since you often do. But let's back it up with a few facts, ok?
