As much as I believe we'll need technical defense against techical foes for the rest of the century, these both look like boondoggles.

Under this administration I just get the feeling $74b could go up in smoke, with nothing to show but happy contractors and a bunch of excuses, and secret excuses at that !

funding missile defense if more important for National Security, than funding the Crusader.

That's because Bush's Carlyle group already IPO'd the United Defense stock and reaped their profit. They have onlly begun stuffing the missle defense dollars into their accounts.
