if Dems take Congress in 2002, WhHouse 2004, great for gold

the level of deficit spending would be colossal
this is part of GreenSpanker's dilemma
he cannot do anything here
if he turns up the volume on dollar printing, he exacerbates the monetary pressure of upcoming inflation
if he lowers FedFunds rate, he accelerates dollar declines
if he raises FedFunds rate, he torpedos earnings and stocks

I expect even with a lower dollar, for Twin Tower Debts to remain

the federal deficit will remain huge because the economy is not producing jobs even as the federal govt is increasing spending on a large scale

the trade debt will remain about intact because of two reasons
1. our appetite for foreign products will not drop much
2. foreign economies will substantially reduce their imports of American made products because their economies are in the shitter, despite our products becoming cheaper

the TwinTowers will remain with us for a few years
and lead to harmful fundamentals damaging the dollar for a while
price inflation will be the inevitable inexorable result
the news media is not addressing this threat
"back door inflation"

all I read is tiny tidbits of "slower growth, rising prices"
how about "return of inflation" ?
how about "much higher interest rates and mortgage rates" ?
how about "deepening recession" ?
