I set up a new page for the new company Skyworks Solutions here:

Subject 53101

I suppose SI will eventually get SWKS loaded into their chart database since the chart currently shows "Unknown Symbol" even though the quotes and other links are OK.

5. I would guess 10M units for SWKS might be possible this year which would equate to $200M incremental revenue at $20 per phone.

It's possible that SWKS might have to share some of this business with RFMD and other competitors. They may not get all 10M units.

Hi Bill,

Samsung was a 10% customer at Alpha before the merger, and they said Samsung was a large customer at CNXT. So SWKS is tied into a high growth customer, #5 may be low on the untis, but high on the content per phone. SWKS did say many of the handsets were full solutions ($20) and that Samsung is among 16 OEM's that incorporate their DCR chip. You bet SWKS is going to push the full solution. <g>

It is interesting to note that SWKS (via Alpha) has the world's most advanced DCR, a 1 chip DCR with components, the nearest competitor only has a 3 chip DCR.

Dave and company also realize and are pushing intergration of chips functions unto one chip, for instance the switch and the PA are being designed as one chip. SWKS will be the first company to introduce one.

Anyway, very pleased with the process and the strategic positioning with the merger, now if we can only get the Street to wake up to this story. <g>
